About the event

Allegheny County experiences extreme weather events that result in landslides, untreated sewage overflows, and exposure to extreme heat. These events are worsening due to the climate crisis, and require expensive infrastructure investments to ensure local communities are resilient to our new unforgiving reality. Allegheny County taxpayers are currently on the hook for local climate adaptation costs, but they shouldn't have to be. A more just alternative is to make the polluters most responsible for the climate crisis pay their fair share of the costs facing Allegheny County.

You are invited to a public presentation by the Center for Climate Integrity (CCI) on Wednesday, April 10th from 4:00 - 5:30pm that will address the hard costs Allegheny County is facing to protect residents from these climate-driven events, and opportunities to make the oil and gas companies most responsible for the climate crisis pay their fair share.

Virtual Option: If you are unable to attend in-person, you can livestream the presentation via Microsoft Teams here.
