Join staff from ALT (Allegheny Land Trust) and GASP for a spring evening hike at Barking Slopes. We'll discuss how land use and nearby industry affected this area. We'll explore the phenology trail and look for sensitive, bio-indicative species of air quality such as lichens, amphibians and plants. Along the way we'll learn about how citizen scientists can track what they observe.

Phenology is the study of the timing and cyclical patterns of events in the natural world, particularly those related to the annual life cycles of plants, animals, and other living things.
