Join the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy and the Group Against Smog and Pollution (GASP) for a walk through the hidden trails of Hays Woods! This month’s trail tour will feature Naturalist Educator Stephen Bucklin who will guide attendees on a search for lichens and GASP staff who will discuss the state of our air.
Meet us at the Agnew Trailhead entrance for an invigorating hike. Enjoy Pittsburgh’s newest city park as we explore the fall landscape. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience Hays Woods like never before!
This walk is longer (in time and distance) than our recent walks and the trails may be more uneven, so please bear that in mind! We want to explore more of this huge urban park, including a viewpoint over the Mon River and spots with specific type of lichen.
Please bring a water bottle and wear appropriate clothes and shoes for a fall walk in the woods. The paths will be gravel or dirt and may be uneven.
