Clean Air Fund Grant Allocations
How are funds distributed across Allegheny County?
At GASP, we partnered with students from the University of Pittsburgh to better understand how Clean Air funding is allocated across organizations in Allegheny County spanning 2015 to 2024. Our student partners tracked funding distributions through interactive visualizations. These graphs and maps turn complex data into clear visuals that show who receives funding and highlight the concentration and patterns across organizations.
This interactive chart depicts grant allocation funding over time made through GASP's Clean Air Fund. Use the time granularity toggle to switch between a year-by-year or monthly breakdown. You can also filter for year and project categories. Click on any data point to view details about the individual grants allocated during that time period.
This chart shows how grant funding has been distributed across project categories each year. Use the legend to select the category names to turn lines on or off and compare how funding has changed over time.
This graph depicts the Top 10 organizations that spent the most money through the Clean Air Fund throughout the 10 years. You can hover over the bars to see the specific amount of money that was allocated to each of these top spenders.
This interactive map depicts each individual grant allocation made through GASP's Clean Air Fund. Use the filters on the left to explore projects by category, year, and location. Click any project in the left panel to view details and see its location highlighted on the map. Locations are displayed as a specific point, boundary, or broader region depending on the nature of the grant.
