Gov. Elect Josh Shapiro on Wednesday announced he nominated Allegheny County Health Department Director Dr. Debra Bogen as Pennsylvania’s next Secretary of Health.

Allegheny County Chief Executive Rich Fitzgerald tweeted a statement about the nomination earlier today:
