“It’s difficult to verbalize just how much this kind of grassroots support means to small nonprofits like us,” Executive Director Rachel Filippini said. “GASP started 51 years ago in the living room of our founder – the late, great Michelle Madoff – and a core group of residents fed up with abysmal air quality and committed to helping to improve it. We’re grateful that over the years, that core group has gotten bigger and it’s gotten louder – and we can’t wait to make more noise with them over the next year.”
