GASPER Air Congress 97
During the school year of 1996-97, the GASPER travelled to various schools in the Pittsburgh area. The result of all of these visits will be an Air Congress, to be held May 22,1997 from 9:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m.at the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. The DCNR Office is on Washington’s Landing off Route 28 (the former Herr’s Island).
GASP and the Air Monitor Project Participants will present to each other and the public the results of the school participants’ air investigations with the monitor and attend several workshops. The public is invited–please make a reservation by calling GASP. There is no charge.
Tentative Schedule:
9:00-9:15 - registration, receive name tags
9:15-9:30 - introductory comments from GASP and Department of Environmental Protection, DEP
9:30-12:00 - group presentations and breaks with snacks — group presentations will be 10 to 15 minutes in length
12:00-12:45 - lunch (provided) and visitation of displayed projects.
12:45-1:45 - workshops (each student can attend two 25 minute sessions of choice)
